Spruce Up Your Community: Sheffield Residents Can Make a Real Difference with Charitable Tree Disposal

This year, residents can make a real difference to the community by recycling their real Christmas Tree via a charitable organisation.

Sheffield City Council is happy to promote local charities ‘Christmas Tree Company Sheffield’ and ‘Bluebell Wood Children's Hospice ‘who provide residents with environmentally friendly options for Christmas tree disposal.

Christmas Tree Company Sheffield

Residents can arrange a collection of their tree which will be recycled responsibly. A portion of the proceeds will be donated to Bluebell Wood Children's Hospice. Find out more about Christmas Tree Company Sheffield.

Bluebell Wood Children's Hospice

Residents can donate their tree directly to Bluebell Wood Children's Hospice. The trees will be used for various purposes, including supporting the hospice's outdoor activities. Find more about Bluebell Wood Children’s Hospice or call directly on 01909 517 360.

Other ways that residents can dispose of their real Christmas trees responsibly include:

  • Bulky Waste Collections: Residents can take advantage of the Bulky Waste Collection service for Christmas tree disposal. Residents can schedule a pickup for their tree, ensuring that all decorations, lights, and non-biodegradable items are removed beforehand.
  • Household Waste Recycling Centres (HWRC): Residents can dispose of their real Christmas trees for free at their local HWRC. All decorations need to be removed prior to visiting.
