Arranging a Bulky Waste Collection in Sheffield
For waste which cannot be disposed of or recycled using your normal kerbside collection service, we offer a convenient bulky waste collection service directly from your property. All items collected are taken to licensed facilities, where items will be recycled or reused where possible.
We have three categories for the removal of bulky items:
1. Private Tenants and Householders
There is a collection charge based on the number of items which need collecting.
|Number of bulky items||Price (including VAT)|
Please note: The number of items that you are charged for is dependant on the type and size of the item/s that you require collecting. Collection is within 7 working days (for a maximum of 12 items).
2. More Than 12 Items or Items of a Non-Domestic Nature
There is a chargeable service for the removal of items of a non-domestic nature (fixtures and fittings including baths; the only type of bath which we are, unfortunately, not able to take (unless it is broken up) is a cast iron bath). There is a minimum charge of £129.70 and may require a Manager to visit and provide an estimate of charges dependent on the waste to be collected and number of items. If you feel that a site visit and an assessment may be needed of your items, then please contact our Customer Service Team who will be able to discuss this with you further on 0114 2734567.
3. Sheffield Housing Service and Housing Association Tenants
If you are a tenant of Sheffield City Council/Sheffield Housing Services, (maximum 12 items one collection annually), or in other rented accommodation, Pennine, (unlimited collections), Acis (maximum 9 items one collection annually) there is no charge* for the removal of your household bulky waste. The cost of the service is paid for through your rent payment.
Great Places and Sanctuary tenants living in a property transferred from the Council to Great Places HA and Sanctuary Housing also qualify for one free bulky waste collection in a twelve month period (maximum 12 items).
Once booked, collections will take place within 7 working days.
Contact your local housing office if you need more than 12 items to be collected.
